I’d like to send out a big Thank You to everyone who came to Austin for the first annual Hands On Minds On! Texas 21st CCLC statewide conference. The event was a great success thanks to the wide array of knowledgeable speakers and the 466 attendees who brought their ideas from all across the state. Texas afterschool advocates and 21st CCLC staff members came together to network and to learn more about creating successful programs that enable our students to excel academically and as community members. With all of your hard work and the great things already achieved, we are making Texas a model for other state afterschool programs. Watch for new regional 21st CCLC trainings coming to a location near you, and stay tuned for more information about the 2007 Hands On Minds On! Conference.
Congratulation and welcome to the Cyce 4 grantees who have just joined our 21st CCLC family. We appreciate your enthusiasm and look forward to working with you in the coming months.
