Professionals gather for a Texas 21st CCLC summit on High School Afterschool
A strategic thinking summit drew 30 invited participants to The Menger Hotel in San Antonio February 1 and 2. Attendees included program directors, site coordinators, educators, non-educators and nurturers to discuss the special issues of high school afterschool programs.
The purpose of this summit was to explore programmatic and operational elements of successful Texas 21st CCLC high school programs and to think strategically about the future vision and needs of high school afterschool in the state.
The summit was a great success and participants walked away motivated and eager to improve the high school programs in the state. Texas currently has has 77 21st CCLC high schools.
The meeting was hosted by SUMA/Orchard Social Marketing, Inc. and facilitated by Lynda Baker of MeetingSolution.
