It's time to say "Good-bye"

Throughout her time as the State Coordinator for Texas 21st Century Community Learning Centers, Geraldine Kidwell has shown enormous dedication to Texas' afterschool and the many children’s lives enriched by the 21st CCLC program. Mrs. Kidwell has been an inspiration to many. With her constant energy, positive attitude, and genuine love for the program, she has been a role model to us all.

Mrs. Kidwell's vision has made Texas a leader among states in the effort to infuse school day standards with after school programming. Her hard work has guided building an infrastructure for 21st CCLC programs to network and share information, receive standardized training on alignment of after school programming with academic standards, and become better prepared to sustain themselves if funding is decreased.

Mrs. Kidwell's heart and soul belong to Texas children, and her guidance, wisdom and strong determination will always be remembered.
