ACE School/Community Partner FAQs

Below is a list of questions commonly asked about ACE.
Q. What can my business/organization do in support of ACE?
A. While ACE receives limited federal funding, it would not be as successful without the ongoing support provided by local businesses and organizations. While the support needed may vary depending on the needs of students and families, each center depends on this support to provide an enduring program to students. You can help ACE by:

       ·          Soliciting an activity presenter or being a presenter
      ·           Being a mentor or volunteer
       ·          Tutoring a student in reading, math, or science
       ·          Offering a tour of your company or organization
       ·          Donating supplies, food, beverages, etc.
       ·         Be the voice of the business community by participating on the Afterschool Task Force
       ·         Being an advocate for ACE by recruiting other business and organization support

Q. How can my business/organization benefit from being an ACE Community partner?

A. In return for being an active supporter of your local ACE, you will be:
·         Recognized in various forums such as community newsletter or newspaper, and ACE special events
·         Helping to create a stronger,  more efficient workforce for the local community
·         Fostering new relationships with potential employees as well as with other local businesses and organizations
·         Assisting ACE in continuing to offer an enduring program once the federal grant support has ended
